Barnsley's pre-season friendly at AFC Fylde was called off due to a second half thunderstorm.
The Reds were 2-0 up thanks to Devante Cole's early finish and a strike by Herbie Kane from the halfway line after a defensive error.
The Reds are now due to start working with new head coach Neill Collins this coming week, after he oversees one more game for the Tampa Bay Rowdies tonight.
The next friendly is in a week's time behind-closed-doors against unknown opponents.
