Barnsley have sold goalkeeper Brad Collins to Championship club Coventry City for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old made 117 appearances for the Reds after joining from Chelsea in 2019.
He lost his place in the side in the second half of last season first due to injury then the form of loanee Harry Isted.
Barnsley are now looking for another goalkeeper to compete with Ben Killip who was signed earlier this summer after leaving Hartlepool United.
Chief executive Khaled El-Ahmad told the club's website: “With one year left on Brad’s deal at Oakwell, we felt it made sense to honour his wishes and allow him to leave.
“Brad has been a great player for this football club and has pushed the standard of our goalkeeping department during his time at Oakwell.
“We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and thank him for his efforts.”
Collins added: “It has been a pleasure to represent this Club for the past four years.
“There have been a lot of ups and downs, but a special thanks must go to the fans who have supported me until the end.
“I want to wish the boys and the new gaffer all the best for the coming season.”
