A LOCAL councillor has slammed ‘mindless’ vandals after a bus shelter was smashed to pieces in Darfield last week.
On Thursday, the bus stop on Doncaster Road was found damaged once again.
South Yorkshire Police have confirmed they are searching for those responsible for the damage.
Vandals have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage over the last few years, and Darfield Coun Kevin Osborne has had enough.
He told the Chronicle: “Yet again mindless vandals damage a bus shelter.
“Their selfish behaviour affects local passenger journeys and costs taxpayers’ money to mend.
“I urge anyone with information as to those responsible to contact South Yorkshire Police.”
