ELSECAR man Jack Shutt recorded the best figures in a 50-over match of his career for Yorkshire CCC on Tuesday.

Spinner Shutt, 26, finished with four for 49 off his ten overs but Yorkshire lost their final group game against Middlesex in Radlett on Tuesday.

That meant they did not qualify for the quarter-finals of the One Day Cup.

Shutt had made his second appearance of the season at Leicestershire on Sunday.

He made six not out in Yorkshire’s 184 then could not take a wicket as the hosts won with six wickets and 46 balls left.

Yorkshire complete their season with four County Championship Division Two games next month.
