TWO BROTHERS from Barnsley have won titles in a national karting championship.
James and Oliver Fabricius, who are from Elsecar, were winners in the Kart Championship which includes drivers from across the UK and is streamed on YouTube.
James, ten, won the micro max class by 65 points while Oliver, 13, won the mini max title with a race to spare.
They competed at six circuits, travelling as far as Cumbria, South Wales and Dorset.
The brothers race for the Bradley Sheppard race team and use Force Motorsports in Mexborough to maintain and tune their engines.
They started their racing journeys at Wombwell Kart Track, and are now recognised amongst the top drivers in the country in their respective classes.
Father Mathew Fabricius said: “This is the first time two brothers have ever achieved this at the same time.
“We head into 2024 with both boys moving up to bigger, faster karts to see if they can replicate their results from this year.”
