A COFFEE morning was held at Cawthorne Methodist Church last weekend in a bid to raise funds for ‘urgent repairs’.

Taking place at the church, based on Darton Road, on Saturday - residents flocked to the site to help with the fundraising challenge.

A spokesperson for the church said: “We have a new tree of life where you can have a leaf engraved in memory of someone or a celebration such as a Christening.

“We also had Cawthorne calendars created by local photographers and a beautiful Cawthorne cook book created by donated recipes from villagers documenting family recipes and village history.

“Calendars and cook books also available from the Post Office or Hillary’s village shop.”
