Aaron Leya Iseka has left Barnsley permanently for Greek top flight club OFI Crete.

The 26-year-old Belgian striker signed a four-year deal in 2025 on significant wages but has made just 27 appearances with three goals.

His last game was in the EFL Cup at the start of last season before loans in Turkey and Israel.

Managers Michael Duff and Neill Collins both did not select him in their league squads, with some questions over his output in training.

Meanwhile, the Reds have been linked with Fleetwood Town left-back Josh Earl. They are hoping to recruit in that position and midfield before Thursday’s deadline.
