BARNSLEY Women’s FC suffered another defeat ahead of a crucial meeting with Hull City in the National League Division One North.

The Reds went down 1-0 at mid-table local rivals Doncaster Rovers Belles on Sunday.

They have collected just two points from their last five league games, having taken 28 from the first ten.

They are fourth, three points off the leaders and one behind third-placed Hull who have played two games fewer.

Barnsley are now due to visit Norton and Stockton Ancients before hosting Hull on Wednesday at Phoenix Park.

Barnsley FC women did not play this week but are due to visit South Shields on Sunday.

Mind Over Matter won 5-0 at home to Wickersley in Division Four of the Sheffield and Hallamshire League.

They are due to visit Millstone on Sunday, while Wombwell Town are set to visit Wickersley and Penistone Church host Bentley.
