TWO men who were yesterday found guilty of their part in the death of a Barnsley man have today been sentenced to a combined total of 29 years in prison.
Daniel Cheetham, 26, and Liam Shaw, 25, were sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court over the death of 35-year-old Carl Dixon.
Cheetham was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 18 years in prison. He was also found guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm and sentenced to two years, to run concurrently.
Shaw was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 11 years in prison. He was also found guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm and sentenced to two years, to run concurrently.
