WHILE sorting out her relative’s belongings a woman from Shafton discovered some long-lost sketches from a former Chronicle artist.

Robyn Eaton was clearing out her mother-in-law’s property when she came across the 1932 clippings, featuring news and sketches from Kenneth L Graham.

The sketches show off Swaithe House, Stores Inn on Shambles Street and The Tom Treddlehoyle Inn in Pogmoor - the first two of which are missing from our digitised collection.

It is believed Kenneth produced 46 sketches in total.

Robyn told the Chronicle: “I don’t know where they came from.

“It was something her partner owned - he passed away earlier in the year and some of his stuff has been left in her summer house.

“When we came across them we went online to figure out what they were, and saw some of the collection online.

“We thought it was really cool that they came from the Chronicle so long ago.”
