BARNSLEY-born Amy Woodruff has been named Leeds United Women’s Player of the Season.
The striker had a great season in front of goal which saw her score 18 times in just 21 appearances in the FA WNL Division One North.
It’s Amy’s second spell with Leeds having taken time out of the game to welcome her newborn son into the world.
A spokesperson for Leeds United said: “Since returning to the action, Amy’s tally of 18 has helped fire United to a fourth-place finish in the final league standings, as well as seeing her crowned joint-winner of the league’s Golden Boot award.
“A strong and pacy attacker, Woodruff was at her deadly best in last weekend’s final fixture, grabbing a brace against rivals York City Ladies away from home, having reopened her account for the club with a header against Stockport County back in September.
“Having fended off competition from a number of her teammates, Leeds United would like to congratulate Amy on a fantastic season with the club.”
