A restaurant in Hoyland has been highly commended in the Tiffin Cup.
Michael Dugher, MP for Barnsley East, has presented the Elachi restaurant with a certificate of high commendation and an embroidered chef's jacket for taking part in this year’s Tiffin Cup.
It is a national competition run by a cross-party group of MPs called the Tiffin Club to promote the finest South Asian food.
The Elachi, on Milton Road, which was nominated by Michael to represent Barnsley East, has been highly commended.
Michael said: "I am delighted the Elachi has been highly commended in the Tiffin Cup and I am pleased to be able to present the staff with this certificate and chef’s jacket to mark all their hard work.
"It is a shame the restaurant did not manage to reach the final, but the fact that it was highly commended goes to show just how great the food is here."
