Penistone Church lost 5-4 at home to Selby Town after coming back from 4-1 down to draw level on Wednesday in the Northern Counties East League Division One.

The visitors scored within the first ten seconds as a long ball from the kick-off lobbed goalkeeper Adam Rhodes. Church's Oliver Fearon levelled but Selby then scored three goals in nine minutes to go 4-1 ahead. Ashley Ellis pulled one back before the break and got another in the second half then Lewis Dickson levelled at 4-4 on 81 minutes. But there was still time for Selby to win it in the 96th minute.

Worsbrough Bridge finished with nine men as they lost their Division One basement battle on Tuesday.The second-bottom Briggers lost 3-1 to Division One bottom club Lincoln Moorland Railway at Maltby.

Bridge got off to a terrible start as Adam Barker was sent off after he handballed in the box. Lincoln scored the resulting penalty and netted further goals either side of half-time. Worsbrough finished with nine men because one of their players had to come off through injury after they had made all of their substitutions. The hosts pulled one back through Jordan Lodge but have just 15 points from 24 games and are five points behind the clubs outside the two-team relegation zone.

Shaw Lane Aquaforce won 1-0 at Leek Town in the Evo-Stik Division One South. Lee Bennett got the opener then was sent off before half-time.

In the County Senior Premier League, North Gawber won 2-1 at Swallownest.

Grimethorpe Sports made the Sheffield Association Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win at Kiveton Park.

Euroglaze won a Barnsley derby at Dale Dynamos to reach the last eight of the Sheffield Junior Cup.
