Former Huddersfield Town star Jack Hunt has been giving his Barnsley team-mates tips on how to beat the Terriers tomorrow and believes the West Yorkshire club could still get dragged into the Championship relegation battle.
The Terriers are currently 14th and, after hosting Barnsley, they face other lowly sides in Doncaster and Charlton.
"They are 13 points ahead of the bottom three but we have seen in football that you can lose five games on the bounce so they are not out of it," said 23-year-old right-back Hunt who played 121 games for Huddersfield after coming through their youth system.
"They might feel like they have nothing to play for and we might catch them on an off day. I am looking forward to going back there. I will be passing on the information to the manager and the lads.
"I will try to find out some inside information from Huddersfield players as well. Anything that can help us win. "They lost at home against Sheffield Wednesday (on Saturday) and they've not had the greatest results at home. "Putting in a good performance and keeping a clean sheet are the most important things but we're going to go there and try to win."
Hunt was a Huddersfield player when Barnsley last visited the John Smith's Stadium and has spoken before of his appreciation of the way the Reds fans clapped the Town players after the epic 2-2 draw on the final day of last season which kept them both in the league.
He said: "It's not quite at the same stage and there's not quite the same value to the game but it will be important and a win would be a big step in the right direction. It was a very emotional day last time and something I will never forget. The way the Barnsley fans were that day made it easy for me to come here."
