Barnsley are being 'killed' by a growing spate of injuries, says head coach Lee Johnson.

Midfielder Ryan Williams, who has made just one start this season due to injury, has aggravated his old groin problem. Lee Johnson said: "It is extremely frustrating. He obviously has a serious weakness there and we have to go back to the drawing board."

Adam Hammill is expected to miss the next four weeks after limping off with a knee problem on Saturday. Johnson said losing the winger was 'like Real Madrid losing Cristiano Ronaldo.'

Left-back Aidy White, who missed the last two matches, is also going to be out for several weeks. Centre-back Alfie Mawson came off with a groin problem at Bradford on Tuesday with the extent of that injury yet to revealed. Lewin Nyatanga has also been out injured.

Johnson said: "The injuries have killed us a little bit. We are really down to our bare bones. We need to be lucky with injuries now because we already have five or six."
