On loan winger Lloyd Isgrove has extended his loan spell at Oakwell for a third month.
Southampton's Isgrove, 22, will stay with the Reds until January 23 which includes the home game against Rochdale on that day.
Isgrove has started the last two games on the right flank and performed well in both. In total he has made 11 appearances for the club.
Central midfielder Ben Pearson has returned to Manchester United from his loan spell and strikers Michael Smith and Conor Wilkinson have also left the club after failing to impress.
Barnsley now only have three players on loan and Lee Johnson is looking to add to the squad ahead of the vital JPT Northern Area final first leg against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
