Barnsley kept up their winning streak and moved into the play-off places as Lee Johnson returned to haunt his former club with a 3-1 win.Two goals from Lewin Nyatanga and one from Conor Hourihane earned Barnsley the points at Oldham, the club Johnson left to become Barnsley head coach last month.Johnson was booed throughout the game but will have left with a smile on his face after The Reds recorded their sixth straight win and edged into the League One play-off spots.

Welsh international Declan John made his Barnsley debut at left-back at the expense of George Smith who dropped to the bench.

After a slow start, Nyatanga poked Barnsley ahead on 33 minutes when he reacted quickest to a half cleared setpiece from Hourihane.Six minutes later the lead was doubled when Hourihane got in the way of an attempted clearance from Oldham's Carl Winchester and the ricochet beat 'keeper Jake Kean. Mike Jones' powerful strike before the break ensured the home team had something to shout about going into the second period. They applied early pressure but could not force an equaliser. They were then stung at the other end when Nyatanga stuck in his second on 70 minutes after John O'Sullivan had hit the post. Oldham skipper Adam Lockwood was dismissed in added on time for earning two yellow cards.
