A BARNSLEY chippy has been awarded the prestigious Good Food Award.
Monk Bretton’s Ocean Fish Bar, based on Judy Row, was the only restaurant in South Yorkshire to be commended with the award.
Pindy and Bill Singh, the owners, said: “We are very grateful to receive the award, given how hard times have been over the past few months, it just what we needed.
“It’s lovely that the award is based on customer votes, our customers are always keen to share our successes and provide us with positive feedback.
“At Ocean Fish Bar, we offer reasonable prices and always work hard to ensure that the food quality is consistently high.
“We would like to say a huge thanks to all of our customers for the continued support.”
