NINE out of ten people aged 50 and over in Barnsley have had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

As of April 11, more than 123,000 residents in the town had received their first vaccine dose, while more than 33,000 had received their second dose.

A spokesperson for Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “It is still vitally important that if you’ve had your vaccine you continue to follow the guidance and rules while the vaccination programme takes place as you can still catch and pass on the virus to others.”
