CALLUM Brittain’s run of 53 successive league starts will end tomorrow as he is suspended for Barnsley’s game at Fulham.

The right wing-back collected his fifth booking of the season against Hull City in the last match, so will be sidelined for the first time in the league since the 3-0 loss at Cardiff City on November 3 last year.

Jordan Williams is likely to take his place at right wing-back.

Caretaker Jo Laumann told the Chronicle: “Callum, with his qualities, would be a big miss for any team in this league.

“But it’s OK, we have other players who can go into that position and make a statement for themselves.

“Jordan is a possibility. He’s a good player who can play on the left or the right. I am quite confident he can do a good game.”

Meanwhile, defender Liam Kitching is a doubt after picking up an injury this week.

The Reds are due to make a decision on his fitness today.

Strikers Carlton Morris and Obbi Oulare have trained with the squad all week and are in contention to play.

Centre-back Aapo Halme has not returned to training yet.
