A DOG - believed to be stolen - has been found in County Durham with a chip locating it to Barnsley, but vets have so far struggled to contact the owner.
The dog is being cared for at Stray Aid in Bishop Auckland and vets who scanned its chip are appealing for anyone who may be the owner to come forward to reunite them with their pet.
Stray Aid can be contacted on 0300 999 4247.
