Barnsley look certain to sign Amine Bassi and likely to add Domingos Quina in the final hours of the January transfer window which closes at 11pm.

Both deals are expected to be loans until the end of the season, and will be the Reds' first signings of the window.

Bassi, 24, has been at Oakwell today with the announcement of his signing expected imminently.

Midfielder Quina, 22, is likely to arrive on loan from Watford, although the Portugal under 21 international's move is not as advanced as Bassi's.

Quina has played in the Premier League for Watford and spent this season on loan to Fulham, starting just twice in the Championship.

The Reds will also try to bring in a third player this window if possible.

They are also hoping to move on Obbi Oulare, with a loan back to his native Belgium most likely.
