A PROLIFIC town centre beggar was arrested last week and sentenced to one day’s detention in prison.
Clare Whitty, 41, of Bank Street, was charged with a third breach of a criminal behaviour order after continuing to beg in the town centre last Friday.
She was remanded to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and pleaded guilty to the charge.
