JUNIOR doctors will go on strike at Barnsley Hospital again this week.

The 72-hour industrial action will take place on Wednesday and run until Saturday.

The British Medical Association said the government tabled a five per cent pay rise offer, which the union labelled ‘in no way credible’.

In England, junior doctors have so far carried out two separate walkouts, totalling seven days of strike action.

They are calling for ‘pay restoration’ to reverse an estimated 26 per cent real-terms cut in pay since 2008/09.

The BMA said this would require a 35.3 per cent pay rise.
