Bethany England became the first person from Barnsley to play in a World Cup final but England were defeated.
The 29-year-old striker from Kingstone came off the bench after 88 minutes of the 1-0 loss to Spain in Sydney, Australia which included 13 minutes of injury-time.
It was the Lionesses' first World Cup final but they could not add the trophy to their Euros win last year.
