Fabio Jalo netted for Portugal under 19s in their 6-0 win over the Faroe Islands in a friendly on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old Barnsley striker got the fourth goal of the game in Spain. He had also scored for Barnsley under 18s against Fleetwood on Saturday.

Portugal under 19s are due to play Scotland on Sunday.

Callum Styles is away with the Hungary senior squad who are due to host Serbia on Saturday then visit Lithuania on Tuesday in qualifiers for next summer’s Euros in Germany.

They are currently top of their group.

Styles, who has 12 caps, started both games in last month’s international break.

Head coach Neill Collins said: “It’s always nice to have international quality players go away with their countries. Stylesy has been excellent since he was away last time. He has really proved himself and earned his place.

“Hopefully he goes away and continues that.

“Fabio is doing really well behind the scenes as well.”
