TWO youngsters from Micky’s Athletic Boxing Club impressed the club’s head coach Mick Wale this week.
Both Mikey Wale and Millie Whelan were involved in skills contests at the club’s show at the Metrodome on Tuesday. Although there is no result, they earned praise from Mick.
Mick said: “Millie is only ten and I thought she was brilliant in her first bout. Mikey (Mick’s grandson) was having his second skills and he has moved on so much from his first one. All the nerves were gone.”
