IMOGEN Wolff is finishing off a fine year with races in Belgium.

The 17-year-old from Silkstone Common, who is in the Great Britain youth squads, finished sixth at the latest World Cup Cyclocross event in Namur, Belgium with a time of 38-36.

That left her third in the junior women’s standings, behind British team-mate Cat Ferguson and French leader Celia Gery. There is due to be another event in Belgium, this time in Antwerp, tomorrow before the series is completed in late January by events in Benidorm, Spain and Hoogerheidein in the Netherlands.

Cyclocross is the winter version of cycling in which riders compete on muddy terrain and can carry their bikes up hills.

It has been a good year for Imogen who won a national title in January then finished fifth in the World Championships in Glasgow.
