BARNSLEY Hospice’s retail hub opened a new area to showcase sustainable fashion options.

The new Rotation @ The Hub area within the hospice’s venue in Dodworth has been designed to showcase rare and unique second-hand items for sale.

It continues the team’s fight against misconceptions around charity shopping, displaying fashionable items that can appeal to a wide variety of customers.

Ella Beale, marketing and communications manager at Barnsley Hospice said: “Since our retail hub opened three years ago, we have seen it go from strength to strength and we want to continue reaching new customers who have yet to discover the joys of shopping second hand.

“We hope that new and existing customers will check out Rotation @ The Hub and see for themselves that shopping sustainably doesn’t mean compromising on style.”

Since the hub’s opening it has raised over £340,000 in profit and continues to be a major aspect of the hospice’s fundraising efforts.

Martine Tune, chief executive officer and chief nurse at Barnsley Hospice, added: “We are delighted to launch Rotation @ The Hub as part of our ongoing plans to develop and sustain our finances.

“Our retail hub is a vital part of raising funds for the hospice, and every item bought or donated helps us to continue caring for the people of Barnsley.”
