Oliver Rowland suffered a disappointing weekend in the Formula E meeting in Shanghai as he slipped further off the lead in the championship.

The Penistone man, 30, finished second in qualifying - an improvement on previous meetings.

But he slipped down to fourth in the first race then finished tenth in the second.

He dropped a place to fourth in the standings, 36 points off the lead after 12 of 16 races.

The electric car series will now move on to Portland, USA next month then London in July - with two races at each.
