FOUR mothers who run activities for families in Cudworth every school holiday have been nominated for a Proud of Barnsley award.
The Cudworth Families Association has been nominated in the Community Group category for making sure youngsters have interesting things to do in the holidays.
The women met each other when they all used Buttercup Children's Centre in Cudworth and formed the group just over a year ago.
They have organised craft projects, activities in Cudworth Park, a Christmas party, Hallowe'en activities and more recently an Easter event which was attended by the Easter Bunny and where children made Easter pots.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
