Andy Yiadom has vowed to put on a show for Barnsley fans against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 26-year-old captain, whose contract expires in the summer, says the mood in camp is good despite Paul Heckingbottom's shock departure earlier this week.

Yiadom said: "It's been a tough week but we are all determined to put on a show for the fans. Players need to perform and everyone has been putting in the effort in training.

"Adrenaline is always high for a derby, especially one as important as this, as both teams have had dips in form."

The Ghana international, who has been linked with moves to Huddersfield Town and Swansea City, said his mind is not on his future and instead wants to focus on the Reds' Championship run-in.

"February and March could make or break our season," he added.

"If my mind was elsewhere, that would not help our situation.

"Every game from this point is a cup final and although it's a shame Hecky has gone, we need to crack on."
