TIPPERS have forced the Forestry Commission to close a car park.
The commission, which manages Wombwell Wood, has closed the Woodhead Lane wood car park until further notice due to the high level of dumped rubbish there.
A notice has been pinned to the closed gate which reads: “This car park will be closed until further notice due to increased levels of unacceptable littering and flytipping. We will reopen it only when we have found a solution to these problems.”
No-one at Forestry Commission was available to comment.
