BARNSLEY Hospital is preparing to welcome a group of 60 nurses who are coming to work from Kerala in India.
The nurses, who will arrive in the town from Wednesday in six cohorts of ten, are coming as part of its international recruitment plan.
Adele Foley, from the hospital, said: “They are coming to England in the middle of a pandemic which is affecting their country too and many of them are leaving their own families to take up this opportunity.
“The hospital will be providing support for them throughout the recruitment process.”
