A LOCAL family business had its stock picked over by the popular Salvage Hunters team.
Harrisons - an antiques centre and auctions rooms based on Lidget Lane in Thurnscoe - recently opened its doors to leading antiques aficionado Drew Pritchard and his capable assistant T for the new series of the hit TV show.
Their visit yielded three buys which surprised manager Nathan Ashbridge, 28.
He told the Chronicle: “Being on Salvage Hunters shows we are doing something right and going in the right direction
“There were a couple of salvage bits that I was adamant he’d buy, but he was more into the antique furniture and he was drooling over the 1930s Austin Riley we have in the showroom.”
The episode will be broadcast on Quest at 9pm on Wednesday.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
