A HOMELESS man who was originally from Barnsley but had lived on the streets of an East Yorkshire town died in unknown circumstances, an inquest concluded.

Leon Ziolkowski, 68, had been sleeping rough in Beverley, near Hull, until he was found dead in September.

Coroner Lorraine Harris delivered an open verdict at Hull Coroner’s Court, as there was no way to determine exactly what happened to Mr Ziolkowski - but no evidence of foul play, injury or suspicious circumstances.
