A BUSINESS owner in Kendray has said he won’t let cruel thieves who stole around £100,000 worth of stock be the end of the store.

Dynamite Terrace Menswear, based at Kendray Business Park, was ram-raided on Tuesday night.

It’s the second time Dean Silcock’s store has been targeted in the last 18 months - stealing more than £70k the first time and on this occasion around £100,000 worth of stock.

However, this time Dean doesn’t have insurance due to the last break-in - meaning he thinks there’s next to no chance he’ll get anything back.

“It’s the second time in the last 18 months and this time we were ram-raided.

“They’ve taken about £100,000 worth of stock and we don’t have insurance at all.

“We’ve got a little bit of stock left but it’s definitely going to get harder.

“We’ve just got to try and rebuild with what we have left - they took all the big brands like Stone Island and Hugo Boss.

“There’s no way we’ll be able to get the money back unless they get caught - and the likelihood of the happening is very small.”

A fundraiser has been set up online to help Dean’s company get back on their feet - and a £1,000 target has been set by organiser Darcie Allen.

She said: “This is a family-run business and hopefully this fund will help raise some some for the family to get the shop back on its feet.

“Any donation, big or small will be greatly appreciated.

“Let’s get this small business back up and running.”
