CELEBRATIONS are well underway for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee - and one Cudworth man has gone above and beyond for the occasion.

Paul Watson, 50, of Darfield Road, spent a number of days creating his coronation carriage which he’s displaying in the village for all to see.

There’s been a number of visitors to take some royal snaps with his creation, including local police officers.

“We decided to do something for VE Day last year to bring everyone together and it’s just spiralled from there,” he said.

“With it being the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we thought we had to do something special.

“The lion emblem in the middle took five hours itself and all in all it’s a few days of work.

“A lot of people have been coming down for photos including kids and police officers - it’s good to know.”
