ANOTHER foodbank collection will be held at Barnsley’s League One game tomorrow after the previous match’s success.

A collection held at the Cheltenham game at Oakwell earlier this month saw the equivalent of 204 food parcels donated by fans.

The food donation point at tomorrow’s game against Wycombe Wanderers will be situated next to the FanZone stage in the East Stand car park.

Some of the most-needed items this week are tinned spaghetti, rice, rice pudding, soup, cereal, gravy granules, tea and coffee.

Andrew Clark, marketing, business and commercial director at the club, said: “It is great that the donations from our game with Cheltenham has helped make 204 food parcels for our local community.

“As we have said before, we wish that foodbanks didn’t have to exist, but unfortunately the fact of the matter is they are being used more than ever before.

“With this in mind, we at the club want to help facilitate the fantastic work Barnsley Foodbank do in helping our local community.”
