FLY-TIPPING reports across the borough have plummeted over the summer, new statistics have revealed.

Councillors said this week that there’s been a 27 per cent reduction in cases.

Coun James Higginbottom, cabinet spokesperson for environment and highways, said: “Reported cases of fly-tipping continues to fall.

“We want to encourage people to recycle wherever possible, and our household waste recycling centres are integral to how we achieve that.”
