ALMOST 200,000 people - more than three-quarters of Barnsley’s overall population - have had two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Figures from the UK coronavirus dashboard show as of December, 80.9 per cent of people aged 12 and over in the area have had the first two jabs, based on the number of people on the National Immunisation Management Service.
A further 144,200 have received a booster or third dose, with uptake for the third jab standing at 64.4 per cent.

Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
