BARNSLEY Hospital staff who have gone above and beyond their duty were celebrated at an awards evening.
The annual Heart Awards returned to Elsecar Heritage Centre last Friday.
There were 14 award categories, from patient choice to volunteer of the year, which recognised staff from all areas.
The hospital received hundreds of nominations from staff from across the trust, and judges decided on the top shortlisted nominees for each category.
A spokesperson said: “The Heart Awards recognise the exceptional staff who have gone the extra mile in supporting and caring for people in Barnsley.”
