GRANGE Lane remains closed today as firefighters continue to tackle a fire at the waste recycling site.

The fire broke out yesterday evening and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have been at the incident all night.

There are three fire engines and a high volume pump on the scene.
About 80 tonnes of used mattresses are on fire.

A fire service spokesman said: "The smoke from the fire has reduced considerably, but we still expect to be on the scene most of today. The cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious.
"Do not attempt to travel down Grange Lane – you will not get through.”
