HOST for the big Young Champions presentation night now just four weeks away will be TV presenter Sam Nixon.
Sam found fame after entering the Pop Idol TV talent show two decades ago.
He and fellow contestant Mark Rhodes teamed up to enter the world of TV presenting and since then, the pair have established themselves as one of the most in-demand TV double acts.
Monk Bretton-born Sam said: “I’m really looking forward to be hosting the Young Champions awards, and was honoured to be asked.
“Growing up in Barnsley and living here now, I’m very proud of the town we have and the people from it.
“I’m excited to see what the next generation have been up to and what achievements they’ve made.”
