A BARNSLEY woman who has been cancer-free for 15 years is hoping to raise more than £1,000 for charity by holding a concert along with her colleagues.
Kerry Vernon, who has worked for the NHS in Barnsley since leaving school and is now in the payroll team, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1995 and underwent 12 months of treatment. The cancer returned in 2000 and Kerry underwent a further 12 months’ treatment. She has been cancer-free ever since.

Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
