A DARFIELD care home has almost hit its target of 200 toys to take to poorly children this Christmas.
Thornhill House, on Church Street, has been collecting donations to take to Barnsley Hospital’s children’s ward on Tuesday.
Residents have been wrapping the donated gifts and manager Christian Whiteley-Mason said the reception currently looks like a ‘grotto’ with people’s generous donations.
