Veteran striker Lee Morris scored a hat-trick as Shaw Lane Aquaforce won 4-1 at home to Sheffield FC in the EvoStik League Cup on Tuesday.

After making their shortest trip of the season for a 1-1 draw at Stocksbridge Park Steels on Saturday, the fifth-placed Ducks hosted another local derby in midweek and won easily with captain Matty Thornhill scoring in both matches.

In the Northern Counties East League Division One, Jack Moore won and scored an 89th-minute penalty to secure a 1-1 draw for Penistone Church at Selby Town on Tuesday. The result ended a run of three straight wins for Penistone including a 3-0 success at Hall Road Rangers on Saturday. The goals came between 50 and 79 minutes and were scored by Danny Barlow, Andrew Ring and Moore.

Worsbrough Bridge gained a 2-1 success at Westella VIP on Wednesday.Goals from Jack Portman and Jack Jones put Bridge in control before the hosts pulled one back late on. Worsbrough lost 3-0 at Winterton Rangers on Saturday. The hosts took the lead midway through the second half then added two more in the final two minutes.

Athersley Recreation lost 4-1 at home to Pickering on Saturday and have now conceded 30 goals from ten matches with just seven points.

In the County Senior League, Kingstone United scored four or more goals for the fourth time in six games this season as they won 4-2 at High Green Villa in Division One on Saturday. Grimethorpe Sports won 3-2 at Hemsworth reserves in Division Two on Wednesday. Tony Bennett netted twice and Craig Rouse also scored.

In the South Yorkshire Amateur League, Euroglaze recovered from an 8-3 opening day derby loss to Dale Dynamos with a 9-3 win at FC Zemplin on Saturday.
