Andy Ring netted twice with the other goals coming from Tom Cadzow and Danny Joynes. Church are now likely to finish in fifth, but possibly sixth, and will then face an away trip to either the third or fourth placed side in the semi-finals in midweek next week as they look to reach the play-off final on April 30.

In the NCEL Premier, Athersley Recreation have all but guaranteed their survival after a third successive win. A first-minute goal from former Barnsley FC reserve McCauley Shillito secured a 1-0 win at Staveley which put them five places and nine points clear of the drop zone.

Shaw Lane Aquaforce had a frustrating Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Kidsgrove Athletic while their Evo-Stik Division One South title rivals Stafford Rangers saved two penalties in a 0-0 draw with Basford. Aquaforce are six points behind Stafford and, if they are to take the only automatic promotion place and avoid the play-offs, the Ducks must win their last two and hope the current leaders lose their only remaining match at third-placed Coalville on Saturday.

In the South Yorkshire Amateur League, Dale Dynamos thrashed Sheffield West End 6-1 with Haydn Musgrave hitting a second successive hat-trick. Ricky Berry, Mason Jenkins and Richard Taylor also netted.
