Several other pupils were also excluded over their involvement and police attended the school yesterday.
A spokesman for the school said: "We have a zero tolerance of any inappropriate behaviour that could be deemed to be linked to drugs, prescription or otherwise and, like all good schools, we will take the firmest action against any student who breaks these rules and will liaise with the relevant authorities as to any further action they may wish to take."

Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
