A PRIMARY school near the town centre has been told by Ofsted inspectors it continues to be a ‘good’ school.

Burton Road Primary received its last full inspection from Ofsted almost five years ago.

This week, its latest ‘short’ inspection report tells headteacher Matthew Harris that his school’s performance has been maintained.

“The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection,” the report says.

“Through your strong leadership, the school has continued to improve since the last inspection, and the previous areas for improvement have been addressed quickly and successfully.

“The school is a vibrant, happy place where pupils display great enthusiasm for learning. Pupils behave exceptionally well and are keen to share their achievements. They show a great pride for the school, their uniform and their learning. They are smart and recognise how important their uniform is to them.”
